In temperament, I want dogs that are emotionally stable in any circumstances.  I expect them to be obedient, loyal and trusting members of my family.

In soundness, I expect them to live full and productive lives free of hereditary problems that would cause artificial or surgical alterations.  I want my 5, 6, 7 year old dogs to be able to enjoy getting up and down on their own, and not have problems getting on or off the bed.  I want them to live a long full life.  I also expect soundness to include mental soundness. 

Breed Standard.  I want my dogs to be competitive in the show ring.  I want to be able to have new comers to the breed be able to show their own dog and be able to win their own share of the points.  I want the dogs to speak for themselves when they walk into the ring, and walk out with the purple ribbons.
